Provides engineering and technical support for product functionalities and features to support internal and customer design teams.
Essential Functions:
• Provides technical assistance to customers (e.g., assisting a customer in designing and programming parts)
• Designs and debugs demonstration and evaluation boards.
• Designs interface examples of how our products connect in various systems.
• Actively works with customers on design activities.
• Participates in design validation.
• Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts.
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
• Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
A technology-related bachelor's degree or equivalent training and 2 years of related experience. An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies
• Schematic capture and PCB design skills
• Familiarity with circuit-level simulation tools
• Knowledge of proper and effective use of lab test equipment
• Knowledge of software programming tools or soldering and rework tools
• General analog and digital circuit analysis skills
• EVB or software design skills
• System analysis skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug systems, circuits, and devices
• Basic customer interface skills
• Technical documentation authoring and editing skills
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation
• Proficiency with MS Office or equivalent
