Our client is an internationally recognized design consultancy who is looking for a mechanical engineer with 3-6 years experience to work in a managerial role in their Shanghai (China) office as head of the engineering team, being responsible for the Asian Pacific engineering business.
The job includes working in close connection with industrial designers, local and international clients and the European and US offices.
The right applicant should have experience working with plastic (consumer) products, preferably also some leadership experience.
You should be open, dynamic, self confident, diplomatic and have good troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required. Excellent CAD skills are a plus.
Required Skills:
3+ years working experience (of which considerable amount in China)
Mechanical Engineering BA or higher
Excellent communication and organization qualities
Experienced in mechanical design of plastic and metal (consumer) products
Skills in CAD, preferably Pro E/ UG (free form modeling experience is a plus)
Fluent English and German or Chinese as a plus
