Job details Our client is a market leading distribution service provider with an extensive Asia Pacific business and a large and rapidly growing China operation. This organisation has a history profitable organic growth and has made a number of successful acquisitions in China, operating in one of the highest growth sectors of the economy.

This newly created role is critical to the future success of the business and will manage all operational and business development activities to ensure continued growth and the smooth integration of acquisitions. Reporting to the CEO and managing a large team based in Shanghai the GM will drive the development and implementation of a wide range of business strategies and service initiatives. Managing all key business functions the GM will drive sales and service enhancement whilst attending to the challenges of a highly regulated and competitive market.

To succeed in this role you will need to have successfully managed significant business operations in China within FMCG, pharmaceutical, logistics or related sectors. You will have managed activities in the areas of distribution and supply chain, key functional areas such as finance and led business development/sales activities. Furthermore you will have operated in a technologically progressive environment and show a track record of continuous improvement of systems, processes and profitability. You will have managed teams, participated in commercial negotiations and shown your adaptability and resourcefulness in meeting diverse business challenges. Above all you will require a broad range of commercial skills and the drive to embrace this opportunity and build a robust and high growth business.
