Leading Procurement Services Firm and market leader in the rapidly growing procurement outsourcing market, Our Client is looking for a Marketing Sourcing and Supplier Management Expert.



The Position:



Our Client, is seeking a Category Management Lead with deep Marketing sourcing and supplier management experience to help customers drive tangible results. In this capacity, you will work directly with the client customer with responsibility for delivering category management services including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to China, Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo. Specifically, you will:

  • Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple Marketing sub-categories including Commercial Print, Fulfillment, Promotional, Ad/Creative/PR Agencies, Exhibitor/Trade Shows, Market Research, and Media.

  • Engage with customers’ senior management team members to drive and communicate progress.

  • Measure and manage “suppliers’” (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels.

  • Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements.

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.

  • Coach and develop team members in their performance and professional development.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:



  • Japanese native speaker

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, MBA preferred

  • Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to Marketing materials and services

  • 6 – 8 years of experience and deep knowledge of multiple Marketing categories including Commercial Print, Fulfillment, Promotional, Ad/Creative/PR Agencies, Exhibitor/Trade Shows, Market Research, and Media

  • Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Formal training and/or experience in strategic sourcing

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
