A leading Asset Management group is looking for an Associate to join their team in Beijing/Shanghai.
Responsibilities:
- Working in direct contact with senior management, to handle the existing and future deal flow;
- Being involved in a large number of investment opportunities in a highly diverse range of regions and all real estate product types;
- Preparing financial analysis, valuations and returns analysis and written presentations and memoranda on investment opportunities to be presented to the Investment Committee/partners
- Performing market studies of various sub-markets and for different product types;
- Reviewing and screening investment opportunities;
- Financial modeling and return analysis of potential investment opportunities;
- Conducting comprehensive due diligence, including legal, financial, environmental, structural, and all other aspects of a real estate transaction
- Coordinating and liaising with 3rd-party vendors during due diligence
- Preparing internal and external memoranda
- Taking lead role in closing process for real estate transactions
- Responsible for supervising at least 1 junior analyst
Requirements:
- Masters degree required
- 2-3 years of relevant real estate, investment banking, management consulting or buy-side experience from a leading firm
- Strong quantitative skill set: accounting, quantitative and financial modeling
- Strong writing and communication skills: ability to develop clear, concise written analyses on a variety of companies and industries
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ideal candidate should have an interest or background in the real estate sector
- Proficient in MS Office applications and working knowledge of databases and reference sources
