Job details Summary and Job Objective

This person brings to the table a proven ability to grow a web site’s user base – this can be through partnerships with other web sites, through search engine marketing and optimization, or by encouraging our loyal English language learners to share the web site with their friends. You will also bring new ideas to a management team that is willing to explore and experiment. You’ll make sure we are delivering the best service we can on our web site and, with your analytical bent and our statistics in hand, you’ll suggest ways in which we can improve.

Duties

1. Design and implementation of SEO/SEM strategy including developing a roadmap of best practices

2. Oversee viral, social media, affiliate, email and search engine marketing programs and campaigns

3. Implement and manage relationship with Social Media/PR/Viral Marketing agencies

4. Develop and implement integrated online marketing strategies and campaigns

5. Compile, interpret and report key metrics tied to specific marketing campaigns

6. Engage in business development activities with potential third party promotional partners

7. Create and drive a paid search program that will put Speak2Me at the forefront of Search Engine practices, technology and structure

8. Develop robust analytics capabilities; experienced with Google Analytics

9. Ability to present data in meaningful and actionable ways

10. Lead organic search team of both direct reports, and dotted-line responsibility with product management

11. Identify and manage network of agency/vendor relationships (including contract negotiations)

12. Manage SEO/SEM activity including site traffic reporting and setting team direction and goals

13. Stay on top of current search engine trends and practices and keep the team up to date

14. Monitor competitor sites to ensure competitive advantages in SEO/SEM initiatives

Qualifications/Skills:

1. A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in SEO, web marketing background

2. Must have solid experience in analyzing and optimizing web sites

3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

4. Experience working with online media sites, social networking, social media or community websites with knowledge and understanding of top players

5. Proven ability to optimize websites, images and videos for organic search

6. Thorough understanding of SEM campaign optimization, conversion, split testing and ROI

7. Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills

8. Strong understanding and ability to communicate SEO/SEM standards and best practices

9. Proven ability to work across all departments to reach company goals; a real team player

10. Demonstrated excellent business judgment and ability to delegate efficiently, both internally and externally

11. Ability to inform, educate and engage marketing teams in emerging digital marketing methods

12. Ability to strategize, implement and execute online marketing plans company wide

13. Must be able to think outside the box and creatively. Proven skills in managing under tight deadlines in a very fast paced environment
