Our client, a top tier Investment Bank, is now seeking an AVP to join their finance team in China. Working alongside with the Head of Finance in Beijing, the future incumbent will be responsible for macro, benchmarking, business planning and the latter. Reporting to the Head of Finance and presenting analyzed information to the Board of Directors, the future job holder is also required to add business ideas to capital budgeting.
Responsibilities:
• Perform deep dive and provide insight through financial and non financial analysis
• Review business decisions against the firm’s strategy. - Reviewing and analysing business decisions to ensure they are consistent with the firm’s strategy and financial objectives and are optimal in the circumstances
• Financial and non-financial analysis of business divisions to support business managers on the way to improve the cost to income ratio
• Coordinate the budgeting, business planning and forecasting
• Understand and articulate costs and drivers. Recognize patterns including the identification of unexpected results/outliers. Develop and agree Business KPIs and monitor their development
• Coordinate the capital planning and profitability review
• Perform business review, benchmarking across competitors and other businesses/divisions) and market research data, public records, commercial databases, and other open source material in forming analytical assessments
• Critical thinking in the creation of succinct narrative reports, presentations and where needed link charts or similar diagrams to report analytical assessments
• Proactive identification of new sources of information, and research tools and approaches
Requirements:
• University degree or above in Economics/Finance/Business. Above 6 years' working experience in finance function in MNC, Experience in foreign bank or Consultant firm is preferred
• Be familiar with bank products and business flow. Experience in financial analysis is preferred
• Good team player with positive working attitude and be able to work under pressure
• Fluent in English with good English writing skills
• Fluency in Mandarin is a must
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Self motivated and logical thinking, critical mindset
• Strong analytical skills and sense in risk control
