About Our Client

Our client is an US based manufacturer of special chemical used in mainly FMCG and consumer products. Its exposure in Asia include Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China. They are looking for a Shanghai based Sales and Marketing Manager for the FMCG division to drive the business forward.

Job Description

You will be required to be responsible for sales function & profitability of assigned territories and product segments; establish annual sales plan and monthly sales objectives in alignment with the division business plans; responsible for monthly and annual sales objectives; responsible for effective sales forecasting, inventory and working capital management; work closely with division manager in developing and implementing sales & marketing strategy that will drive the growth of the FMCG business in China in alignment with corporate directors; work closely with division manager to establish product portfolio with key customers and market and continuously identify product needs and secure new principals to fill the portfolio gaps; actively develop and expand geographically sales and distribution coverage through retail chain stores, wholesale/dealer trade and e-trade platforms; plan and execute pricing strategies to achieve higher sales and profits;develop and plan sales and marketing efforts including advertising and exhibition activities to create and promote brand awareness;keep abreast of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies;build and manage close relationship with key principals and customers.

The Successful Applicant

* Tertiary qualifications in business administration. MBA is preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of strong sales and marketing experience in Consumer products in China with preference in cigarettes or stationery goods industries.
* Strong experience in managing retail and wholesale/dealer distribution channels.
* Excellent network with China retail chain stores and market intelligence in the industry.
* Strong experience in various sales and marketing tools : advertising, trade marketing, exhibitions, e-trade. P&L experience in China for business unit.
* Excellent market-driven business development, strategic planning and execution capabilities.
