Our Client, a top tier Investment Bank, is now seeking an experienced individual to assist the finance change within their bank. The successful candidate, stationed in Shanghai, would be responsible for changing the bank’s strategy, banking process, sourcing capability, culture and organisation.

Responsibilities:
• To provide oversight and co-ordination of all key change activity within China Finance.
• Understand and challenge where appropriate, the key objectives of significant running the bank initiatives with view to:
- Advising Finance management as to feasibility / achievability and fitness of purpose.
- Identifying and driving synergies between different projects and initiatives in different Finance groups
- Ensure the project's benefits are maximized and delivered. Advising Finance management where necessary on additional initiatives and changes required to secure the maximum benefit
• To assist Regional Change the Bank and Sourcing head with the management, monitoring and facilitation of the overall change programme within Finance in Asia Pacific and to provide ad hoc advice and guidance re: change management to members of Finance management
• To coordinate the interface with Operations for given initiatives while monitoring cross silo initiatives, overall budgeted spend and client satisfaction

Requirements:
• Experience of managing successful change - not only with regard to process re-engineering but more broadly relating to cultural change initiatives
• Good knowledge of investment banking front to back process flow and the ability to identify the appropriate controls. In addition, reviewing the existing controls and identifying key control risks and then driving the implementation of change
• Immediate investment banking product knowledge and strong background in financial accounting
• Previous experience with finance re-engineering renewal program preferably in an investment banking context
• Comfortable with operating effectively in a peer environment, able to influence and persuade but also able to react with flexibility and sensitivity to the requirements and views of others. A strong team player and an acute observer of team dynamics
• Proficiency in managing client relationships. Able to operate effectively within organizational ambiguity
• Self-starting but consultative. Capable of managing 'business as usual' and long term change dynamics as well as projects and programs. Committed for the long term change
• Hands on with strong group facilitation skills
• Strong Project documentation skills with general working knowledge of MS Project, Power-point and Visio
