    This unique and exciting compliance opportunity has been created within this well known and leading multinational insurance provider, to develop company best practices and standards across the Asia Pacific region.

    Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and working closely with the adjacent regional compliance team, the successful candidate will:

  • Propose best practice compliance initiatives, and assist local countries to implement
  • Coordinate development of policy in the region, liaising with head office and entities as required
  • Assist entities to promote compliance awareness in the region
  • Assist local compliance teams in implementing the market conduct review program on distributors’ sales practices
  • Provide advice and support to the local compliance function on people, process and technology.
  • Assist in the development of risk-based local compliance operating plans and monitors progress of implementation
  • Review, on a continuing basis, the adequacy of resources and skills of compliance personnel and promotes continuing professional education and training.
  • Identify and promotes best practices in compliance processes and technology.
  • Coordinate and ensures the adoption of regional and group compliance policies and procedures.
  • Keep up to date on local compliance issues and ensures their timely escalation, reporting and resolution.
  • Conduct periodic review of the local compliance function of the business units in Asia to assess their effectiveness in compliance risk management and to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Prepare timely and quality compliance reports to the board and management committees.

    Interested Candidates should:

  • Have at least 5 - 7 years of experience in regional compliance and/or audit in the insurance industry.
  • Be passionate about developing compliance practices and understanding.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills. Must be a team player, able to engage and influence people.
  • Be fluent and accurate in English (written and spoken: the post requires coordination of Board papers in English); a command of relevant Asian languages an advantage.
