Based in HK, the Sales Specialists work in concert with Account Managers to optimize customer relationships and maximize revenue to the company’s sales team
Development of business within a respective territories and product line, you will, in cooperation with the Account Management staff, identify and target prospects, initiate new sales activity, and manage cycles to closure
Work with highly competent account management and professional services teams, while helping our APAC clients better measure and manage credit risk
Opportunity to develop, apply, and share a deep and broad understanding of the companies Training Services in a client-facing role
Training Services currently include public seminars, e-learning solutions, in-house seminars and custom-designed training courses
Products include training programs related to the following areas of focus: credit, risk, financial markets, as well as leadership & professional development skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Through face-to-face meetings you will enhance relationships with our training services constituents and stay abreast of issues pertaining to both the market and competition
Systematically call all professionals related to the training business within APAC (excluding Japan) including banks, insurance companies, corporations, investment managers and others identified as prospects of the company
Aim to reinforce existing relationships, identify opportunities for product development, and establish new relationships
Create a focused selling effort and substantial sales production in support of the companies array of training products and services
Determine the needs of the client in every sales opportunity by asking probing questions, understanding specific issues facing the client based on your knowledge of industry practices and the companies Training Services abilities
Act as the market and product / service expert during the sales cycle by bringing insight, product expertise and process management skills to bear
Communicate how the companies Training Services can meet the client's specific needs in client meetings. This will entail answering product questions and describing our approach to services engagements
Coordinate the companies responses to requests for product and services information related to Training Services from prospects and clients, especially proposals and RFPs
Prepare and circulate market insight comments and enhance our hypothesis-based selling efforts to create awareness of the company’s expertise internally
Serve as an important leader in the development of the future product and services extensions and enhancements and marketing strategy
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of demonstrated success selling to large financial institutions and institutional investors.
Experience related to Training or Learning & Development will be preferred
Familiar with credit and risk management, bank lending processes, the securities markets, and fixed-income asset management
Familiarity with the methods and objectives of asset valuation and credit process will be preferred
Success depends on how well the companies solutions meet customer needs hence excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills are required
Strong team player and be able to work in a fast paced, pressurised and diverse environment
Willing to travel 25-40% of the time, visiting many prospects and clients within Asia and Australia
English fluency is required
