Summary and Job Objective
Speak2Me is seeking a strong, experienced leader to help build and manage a sales team in a player/coach role, selling Speak2Me’s corporate training solutions to large organizations in China.
We are looking for a leader with flexibility, management experience and outstanding decision-making skills, one that will use quantitative abilities to make effective, strategic decisions. The candidate will be a self-starter who has demonstrated previous strong performance and work in a rapidly changing environment. This person has dealt with ambiguity, successfully managed teams and demonstrated problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. This is a unique opportunity to help build and manage a high performing team and have a dramatic impact on the company's growth.
Ideal candidates will have management experience in a sales environment. A proven track record of previous corporate training sales to China’s biggest corporations is essential.
Duties
1. Define Speak2Me overall approach and focus in the China region
2. Identify and prioritize revenue-generating business opportunities
3. Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
4. Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Speak2Me, including a good understanding of working with CEOs, Senior Management in Human Resources and Training and other key stakeholders
5. Build, train and maintain a high performing sales organization with regional responsibility
6. Prospect and penetrate large organizations to obtain corporate training contracts
7. Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of the sales team, and provide reports as needed
8. Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends, case studies and Speak2Me solutions
9. Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
10. Implements partnerships with companies that will promote Speak2Me products for compensation
11. Full cycle client responsibility
Requirements
1. 5+ years of Corporate Training Sales experience (preferably including online) and 7+ years of management experience
2. Experience managing a team of 10 plus direct reports
3. Strong management and coaching skills
4. Knowledge of corporate training reseller channels and vertical markets a plus
5. Ability to win the support of key stakeholders
6. Relationships with top management (Executives, HR) at corporations and organizations in China
7. Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
8. A love of the entire sales cycle from cold call to ribbon cutting
9. Demonstrable success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
10. Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
11. Understanding of learner behavior and how technology works and the ability to explain each in ordinary terms
12. Excellent communication and presentation skills
