Due to company expansion, our client is seeking for an experienced Merchandising Manager to Children’s Wear team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Divisional General Manager, you will lead a team to oversee the merchandising process from design inception through to delivery. You will work closely with buyers and design team in Europe and monitoring vendors to achieve optimum results in product quality and on time delivery. You will source and build an extensive network of vendors on fabric and accessories, oversee sample and production cycles, and drive quality and delivery resolutions to ensure consistency of the brand’s standards. You will also provide feedback and market intelligence and for the product development teams in Europe to build feasible and cost-effective styling, fabric and trim ideas.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial merchandising role preferably from a multinational apparel company background. You will have an extensive knowledge in Children’s wear. A background working with European client will be crucial. You will have developed a wide network of vendors and had a proven track record of sourcing for a sizable apparel brand. A strong team leader, you will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and be able to manage complexity and meet tight deadlines. Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese will be essential to the role.
