Our client, a market leading UK firm in Hong Kong, is looking to appoint a lawyer with a minimum of 4 years' PQE to the Financial Markets Group of their Hong Kong Office.
The successful candidate will have solid experience of regulatory / financial services work ideally gained from working within a leading top-tier firm in Australia or similar high-end environment. Candidates should have experience of advising on the Securities and Futures Ordinance, the Companies Ordinance and their related codes and subsidiary legislation. A broad range of experience in dealing with the Securities and Futures Commission is an advantage.
The work will involve Hong Kong regulatory and securities advisory work for financial institutions, broker-dealers, asset managers and listed companies operating in Hong Kong and Asia.
The international Financial Markets practice advises many of the world's leading financial institutions on financial markets products, and operates across the UK, Continental Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Fluency in Cantonese and / or Mandarin written and spoken would be highly regarded but is not essential for this role.
Excellent academics, a desire to learn and an enthusiastic and team focused approach are essential to fit into this market leading practice.
