We represent a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking. To support the strategic expansion in Singapore, our client is looking to recruit a dynamic Technology Manager within Banks Architecture and Strategy group.
Job Purpose
Promote and apply Technology policy, architectures and standards that support appropriate risk, cost, performance and resilience by:
Working with projects, programmes and other initiatives to shape and steer solutions towards strategic end-states as defined by architectures and standards.
Setting and maintenance of quality standards for architectures supporting processes and methods
Establishing and maintaining effective technology governance processes and methods.
Ownership of key systems in support of architecture governance processes and methods.
Manage escalations in relation to technology decision making process.
Engagement with Banks initiatives as required ensuring technology governance is appropriately represented.
Main Accountabilities
Setting Technology Governance Standards 50%
Ownership, promotion and development of the Approved Product Set for Global Operation.
Ownership, promotion and development of the Enterprise Design Authority for Global Operation.
Ownership, promotion and development and systems and tools used in support of the Global governance operations.
Working with the architecture community and domain teams to ensure that architectures, standards, patterns and principles are understood and applied as part of governance processes.
Through the promotion of the APS, provide direction to Sourcing & Vendor Management, ensuring that vendor negotiations are informed of market and technology trends and that sourcing agreements align to Banks technology strategy.
Engagement with Banks initiatives as required ensuring technology governance is appropriately represented.
Managing IT Technology Governance 50%
Engage key stakeholders to understand business environment, strategies operational architectures and priorities and reflect in the appropriate governance of IT activities.
Operation of the Approved Product Set, including timely, accurate and appropriate up to date information, and clear accountabilities.
Operation of the Enterprise Design Authority in UK, WE, and EM in support of the Job Purpose.
Contribution to and ownership of other Design and Architecture Governance activities as required (e.g. Global Architecture Council, Infrastructure Design Authority)
Develop and maintain working relationships with other areas of Banks Technology to ensure effective IT Governance and Controls (e.g. Risk and Governance, Information Security).
Establishing and maintaining effective technology governance processes and methods.
Ownership of key systems in support of architecture governance processes and methods.
Manage escalations in relation to technology decision making process.
