A position has recently arisen for a Legal Counsel in the Corporate Investment Banking division of this regional player. Based out of Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to their Corporate & Investment Banking Group, including advising on changes and developments of key laws and regulations applicable to the business, developing appropriate procedures and guidance, and facilitating the resolution of legal and contractual issues as required. Applicants should have at least 5 years PQE, preferably in the financial services industry, as well as a working knowledge of banking and financial services laws and regulations. Fluency in English is expected for this role. Candidates will be considered from other practice areas in the legal sector (corporate, litigation etc) as long as they can demonstrate a genuine interest in the sector, and as such, this is an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking their first in-house position.
