Job details Global marketing consultancy firm is looking for a senior econometrician / quantitative marketer to set up their Marketing Effectiveness unit in the Asia Pacific region. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic numerical economist / marketing analyst to maker their career by setting up from scratch this function. You will be using your numerical modelling skills and knowledge of statistical / econometric techniques (such as time series / regression) to build predictive models to help clients evaluate their marketing programmes, optimise their advertising campaigns and better target new and existing customers. Something of an evangelist you will be using your well developed interpersonal skills to demonstrate to clients how you can use your knowledge to bring business value to their companies. Work will also include recruiting and developing junior quant to help you.

Key skills
• Bi-lingual – fluent speaker of Mandarin and English
• Numerical education – at least a Bachelors degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics,
• 3+ years marketing analystics experience or 5+ years other modelling experice
• Advanced ability to create predictive models
• Candidates from an academic background will be considered as long as their commercially minded
• Experience of statistical modelling tools such as SAS, SPSS, Stata, etc (you get to choose which one you use)
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to make presentation to clients
• Ability to lead a team
• Ideally a deep knowledge of consumer industries such as retail, telecommunications, CPG / FMCG etc
