Multinational client in the Asset management industry and offices in Europe, USA and key Asian markets including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India and Malaysia is currently looking for SENIOR MANAGER DERIVATIVES for Singapore Operations

Job Scope:
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Regional Operations. The person will be part of the team
that supports the following back office functions
The functions involved are:
Day-to-day operation of derivative instruments
Project involvement and System testing
Client Reporting
The role requires the person to work closely with the team members to ensure that all derivatives trades are processed and settled on a timely basis. The team in which the person is in will provide support to both internal (such as CIOs) and external clients, and will involve liaison with external parties such as the custodians and administrators. The team is expected to conduct regular service reviews with the external service providers to secure an acceptable level of service.
Key Deliverables from this role:
Handles confirmation and settlement of both Exchange traded and OTC derivative transactions.
Liaise with colleagues, Fund Administrators and brokers in various countries to ensure smooth trade confirmation and settlement.
Check daily margin cash balance and exchange traded derivative positions; and communicate margin calls to Fund Managers and Front Office Administrative staff.
Verification of mark-to-market of OTC derivative positions.
Involves in projects to prepare Funds to be derivative-ready. Based on investment mandate of each fund, ensure that trading accounts and clearing accounts are properly opened in the approved investment markets.
Prepare workflows and communicate to other departments such as Dealing Desk and Front Office Administrative staff.
Do system testing to verify system capability in recording new derivative instruments.
Lay down procedures for Static Data team for setting new derivative instruments.
Handles appointment of Tax Agents in certain trading markets.
Monthly client reporting of Life Fund
Principle Accountabilities:
Responsible for the timely processing and updating derivative trades correctly in back and front office systems
Responsible for ensuring that valuations received from counterparties on open positions are reasonable and correctly captured in the systems
Responsible for monitoring collateral requirement
Ensure data integrity and accurate flow of information from trade generation through to settlement and reporting, by undertaking regular reconciliation against the source of information.
Responsible for providing timely and accurate client reports.
Responsible for updating procedures and documentation to ensure that it remains current.
