Our client is one of the best-known brand name multinationals in the world with a substantial presence in China. They now require an experienced and savvy lawyer to join their Chinese Legal & Compliance Team and be located in Shanghai. Your focus will be split 50/50 on sourcing and procurement issues along with general commercial and transactional matters. You will primarily support the global procurement function, R&D activities and our clients' manufacturing plants activities.
Your role will span all general commercial and transactional matters and preparing and reviewing contracts in relation to direct or indirect sales activities. You will provide strategic advice on corporate restructuring; JV and M&A related issues as well as general legal support to other functions of the company.
Ideally you will be a lawyer of at least 7 years’ PQE gained both from private practice and in-house MNC experience in high tech/IT and/or telecommunications industries in Greater China.
Fluency in Mandarin and English (including the ability to draft in both) is critical for this role.
