Job details A leading global investment bank is currently seeking high calibre individuals to join their China team in order to meet with their rapid expansion plans. The role is within their Finance Change management team to ensure there is increased focus on the finance function to provide additional support business solutions.
The significant growth in business in the last few years has resulted increase volume and complexity in the finance business process. Growth in the change management capability has not been correlated to this growth and as a result there exists a backlog of projects with positive investment cases.

The Role

• The individual will be part of the Finance Change the Bank team based in Beijing.
• The team covers China and Global Markets Finance and is responsible for change
management across Finance.
• The role will cover the Global Markets businesses.
• The primary function of the role is to lead projects within Finance. These projects
are either change initiative driven by Finance or New Business initiatives which
impact Finance processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyse and document business requirements for controlling.
• Assess & plan resourcing requirements for controlling projects.
• Project management – Business analysis, scoping, planning and execution.
• Implementing standardised project documentation – Project initiation documents
Gantt Charts etc.
• Liaise across different business areas and IT functions to ensure delivery of each
project.
• Identify business issues and define the required solution to ensure delivery.
• Write business specification documents for IT support departments.
• Initiate new procedures and system solutions to improve efficiency in the region.

Experience/Background:

The following is desirable:

• Degree qualified preferably from a business accounting / economics background.
• 6-10 years banking experience.
• Experience in product control, a good understanding of the processes and
workflows, preferably across fixed income products.
• An understanding of financial control processes and account posting engines.
• Project management experience with-in the finance industry.
• Excellent PC skills, including working knowledge of spreadsheet applications
(excel).
• Fluent English and Mandarin
