Expat Factory General Manager Jewellery Manufacturing

Your Mission :
• In this role you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the entire operation in China. You will focus on the development of management processes and procedures ensuring the successful execution of the strategic initiatives in the business plan.
• You will execute plans for creating a world class manufacturing facility.You will establish a highly motivating and performance-oriented company culture by developing, coaching and guiding your management team. You will guarantee a continuous flow of skilled labor by developing a structured recruitment and training methodology.
• In your implementation of management processes and manufacturing tactics you will have an ongoing concern for improving planning, cost control, operations efficiency, quality, methods, productivity, equipment reliability etc.
• Reporting directly to the CEO you will translate your strategic plans in an annual budget and operating plan. By clear reporting and analysis (SAP environment) you will enable management to closely monitor performance and the fulfilment of all short and long term goals.
Your Profile :
• For this important senior management position we are looking for a high-impact personality with a higher technical degree (e.g. Bachelor or Master in Mechanical or Process Engineering) and a relevant and successful track record as Plant- or Factory Manager in the diamonds-,jewellery- or similar high-precision manufacturing and assembly oriented industry. Work experience as expat in Asia is an asset.
• You have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, a pragmatic hands-on approach and strong business acumen. You are highly attuned to cross-cultural sensitivities and able to motivate and develop both managers and shop-floor employees from different cultures.
• You are a disciplined, structured and well organised person, combining a result-oriented attitude with a strong strategic view and improvement awareness. You have a passion for consistently delivering the highest level of quality on-time.
• You have a good ERP working knowledge with preferably experience in SAP.
• You are fluent in English and you are ready for a long-term engagement as expat in China.
