Our client is the Investment Management arm of a leading international financial services group that has over US$10 billion of assets under management. As part of their continued expansion across the Asia Pacific region, they are now recruiting a high calibre Assistant Finance Manager to join their Investment Team.
With a 'hands on' approach you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial and regulatory accounting for the funds and investments in the Hong Kong legal entity. You will have a good understanding of HKGAAP, IFRS, FRR returns, tax calculations, and will review the quarterly reports making recommendations to improve procedures and controls. With the ability to build strong relationships, you will interact with the investment team, joint venture partners and the US based head office, providing financial analysis and ad-hoc reports for project specific requests. High calibre candidates with less experience will also be considered for a Senior Accountant position.
To qualify individuals must possess:
-A university degree in accounting discipline and a professional accounting qualification
-Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and reporting experiences within major financial institutions
-Good knowledge and experience in HKGAAP, IFRS, and SFC regulations
-The ability to work under pressure, handling major project deadlines
-Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
