Our client is a asset management firm with offices globally. Their Singapore office is now looking to hire a junior trader to support their trading desk in executing trades and ensuring they are reconciled, settled, and revalued correctly. The position offers an excellent learning opportunity for anyone seeking exposure to all aspects of the financial asset management industry.
Function Profile:
* Executing and Booking of trades in trade capture systems
* Producing and analyzing P&L for the Portfolio Manager
* Working with brokers on trades, including resolving trade queries and failing trades
* Liaising with Fund Administrators on the resolution of breaks and pricing issues
* Reconciling cash and all open positions
* Confirming execution details of exchange-traded stocks, futures and options
* Verifying trade details and obtaining signatory approval for OTC products including Swaps and Foreign Exchange
* OTC Derivative work flow processing including trade confirmations, resets, unwinds and settlements
* Developing reports on an ad hoc basis
Candidate Profile:
Candidates should have a sound understanding of common financial products such as equities, FX, EQD etc. Ideally with at least a year’s experience on the institutional trading desk at banks/ other financial trading firms.
Generally in the front-office or relevant middle office work at a top financial institution is desirable. Knowledge of Bloomberg terminals is a must.
Candidates should preferably be current Singapore residents.
