THE POSITION
Title: Plant Manager/Director
Location: Wuxi or Tianjin
Responsibilities:
• Provides overall leadership by planning, directing, and controlling all manufacturing activities
• Directs production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with quality, accuracy and performance standards.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to continuously improve safety, asset utilization, productivity, product quality, and cost.
• Directs supervision of facility staff. Implementation of safety programs, meeting fixed and variable cost commitments, execution of reliability programs, compliance with quality system as well as government regulations required.
• Ensures selection, development, and motivation of a competent operations team, organized effectively to ensure the maximum utilization of human resources.
• Reviews and modifies existing equipment and production methods to reduce manufacturing costs to improve operating efficiency.
• Ensures long-range planning and review of manufacturing operations to ensure that production meets the strategic goals and objectives of business.
• Develops and implements effective quality control programs to ensure that quality standards and objectives are met.
Qualifications:
• He/she must speak Chinese and be willing to work in China and willing to relocate within China.
• He/she must be aggressive, knows Chinese culture, with at least 5-10 years factory, cable manufacturing of optical fiber cables
• He/she should come from the telecom cable industry or cable maker
• He/she should come from Telecom field with strong manufacturing experience
• He/she should know quality management, process, and understand basic Finance, P/L, Capital investment etc.
• He/she should have technical background and have working experience in China.
