The above position has recently been created in the Hong Kong office of a leading European Investment Bank. The primary responsibility of the role will be the day to day management of all compliance issues related to their asset management businesses across offices in Hong Kong, the PRC and Taiwan, and the management of staff on the ground in each office. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory authorities in these jurisdictions. Applications would be considered from candidates who have in excess of ten years experience in the asset management compliance sector, and have an excellent understanding of the regulations affecting the sector in the Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, and Beijing markets. It is particularly important that the person has good connections with regional regulatory authorities (in particular in the PRC), and an excellent understanding of the asset management compliance sector in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. Fluent level English and Mandarin skills are essential for the position.
