Our client is one of the best-known brand name multinationals in the world with a substantial presence in China. They now require an exceptional and commercially aware lawyer to join their Chinese Legal & Compliance Team. Located in Taipei you will report to the Head of Legal for Greater China in Beijing and provide support for diverse legal issues in Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau. Your role will span all general commercial and transactional matters and preparing and reviewing contracts in relation to direct or indirect sales activities. You will provide strategic advice and guidance on corporate restructuring; JV and M&A related issues as well as general legal support to other functions of the company. You will also effectively manage all litigation matters and disputes.
Ideally you will be a lawyer of at least 7 years’ PQE gained both from private practice and in-house MNC experience in high tech/IT and/or telecommunications industries in Greater China, particularly Taiwan.
Fluency in Mandarin and English (including the ability to draft in both) is critical for this role.
