Multinational client in the Asset management industry and offices in Europe, USA and key Asian markets including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India and Malaysia is currently looking for Business Analyst – Asset Management for their Singapore Operations



Job Title: Business Analyst (Permanent Position)



Location: Singapore



Reports to: Project Manager





Job Scope:



- Assist in implementation of regional front office and compliance system across Asia

- Analyse business workflows & translate business processes into system specifications

- Understand business needs & act as middleman between users and technical analysts to facilitate best possible technical solution

- Train/conduct product workshops for users

- Prepare functional specification documents for user sign-off

- Test technical solutions developed/configured, based on functional specifications signed-off from users

- Prepare all necessary test scripts for obtaining necessary user acceptance of the system

- Evaluate and propose technologies on market initiatives that will enhance IT and business efficiencies

- Support users by testing amendments and new components/versions/patches of systems being implemented

- Ensure proper change control procedures are adhered through documentation of application development changes and system enhancements

- Participate/Implement any other regional IT initiative/project, in the capacity of a Business Analyst, as & when demand arises for the same





Background and Education:



- It is preferred that the candidate would have worked as a project manager / business analyst / test manager on projects within either fund management or a brokerage firm. This experience could have been gained as an employee of the financial institution or as a consultant working on assignment.

- Excellent business knowledge in at least two of the following core fields Equity, FI, Derivatives or Compliance

- Willingness to continuously learn, train and develop oneself

- Only self-motivated individuals able to operate at a high level of independence, with strong written and verbal communication along with an eye for detail should apply

- Additional business qualifications such as CFA / ACCA / CPA / MBA is a must
