We represent a leading global bank comprising of private banking, investment banking and asset management divisions. For a newly created opportunity within the Fixed Income team, we seek a dynamic candidate to join as the Fixed Income Technical Development Manager.



Description

The position is for a highly Technical Development Manager with a strong background in Unix and C++ development. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of C++ and .NET components for users based in New York, London and Asia-Pac. The candidate will reports to the Asia-Pac Regional Manager for Repo.

-Specification, design, programming and delivery of trading systems and components in both Unix C++ and .NET

-Active involvement by taking on development tasks

-Liaise with support team (post implementation 3rd level support and production releases)

-Responsible for coding standards, development tools and processes, architecture and design reviews, adherence to SDLC

-Provide technical guidance for software development

-Write detailed technical specifications for junior members of the team

-Interface with Architecture and Engineering group

-Line management responsibility for development team consisting of Unix and .NET developers



Qualifications

-10 years relevant industry experience in designing, building and delivering complex systems

-4 years experience in a line management position working in a similar role

-Demonstrable expertise in troubleshooting multithreaded applications, modern design patterns and strong technical expertise

-In depth knowledge of at least one OS and database (Sybase or Oracle)

-Investment banking experience preferred
